My goal is to help make cities a more vibrant place to live, work and play. I have learned from the places I have travelled to and the people that I have met along the way. As a result, being involved in the communities where I'm living is very important to me. In many of the communities I have travelled to I have made connections which enabled me to communicate and disseminate my research on a practical level. Understandably, every community has issues to be understood and those who need assistance in researching and making changes. As much as researchers would like to claim they are the expert on something, I think the people living within these communities are the expert of their own lives and are the experts on the issues at hand in their city. If these people allow me, then I try my best to help make a difference on an ongoing and practical level. Therefore, I aim to connect research on a practical level to community needs in order to help create positive and ongoing changes within communities.
